COSI Restaurants

Steven is currently the Executive Vice President of Purchasing and Development for COSI Restaurants Inc. He is responsible for purchasing and the safety of all food products and services at COSI, over $30 million in purchasing. Prior to joining COSI he was Vice President, Cost and Product Management for Steak n Shake restaurants from 2008 to 2017.  In 2015 he was assigned additional duty as Chief of Staff for MAXIM Magazine. In his dual roles he is responsible for cost management, food safety and purchasing for over 600 Steak n’ Shake Restaurants and staff, and purchasing at Maxim Magazine. At Steak n Shake he managing over 400 vendors to over 600 restaurants and over ½ million meals served a day.  Prior to joining Steak n’ Shake Steven was with Burger King Corporation as the Vice President, Food Safety, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance.  He was the company’s chief global food safety officer responsible for global quality and safety. He was responsible for global distribution of food products from over 1,100 suppliers, to over 12,500 Burger King Restaurants in 67 countries, serving 11 million meals a day. Prior to joining Burger King in 2004 he was the Vice President of Health and Safety Regulatory Affairs for the National Restaurant Association in Washington, DC. He represented the 315,000 member restaurant industry on all safety and health issues in the US. Prior to joining the National Restaurant Association in 1993 Steven was a Senior Environmental Health Officer with the Commonwealth of Virginia in Northern Virginia, administering a variety of regulatory programs in public health at over 1,500 setablishments.     

Captain Grover, also retired in 2015 from US Navy Reserve with over 31 years of experience in military logistics, intelligence and Naval force management.
