Kelly uses her background in psychology to understand the “why” behind consumer attitudes and behaviors. Her focus is on tracking emerging consumer trends to uncover the underlying need states and motivations that shape foodservice decisions. Kelly has been with Technomic since 2007 and leads the firm’s syndicated consumer research practice, including the Consumer Trend Reports platform, a series of more than 20 annual research studies, and Consumer Brand Metrics, an ongoing brand tracking solution. She also directs multi-sponsored, custom ad-hoc and full-service quantitative and qualitative research solutions and is a frequent speaker at industry seminars and conferences. She holds a BA in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago and is currently attending Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management for her MBA with a concentration in Marketing and Social Enterprise.
